Phi Chi Chapter History
The Phi Chi Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon was founded May 21st, 1983 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County by 17 strong and innovative women.
National History
The Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority was founded at New York University, School of Law - Washington Square on March 17, 1917 by 5 women: Dorothy Cohen Schwartzman, Ida Beinstock Landau, Minna Goldsmith Mahler, Eva Effron Robin, and Sylvia Steirman Cohn.
There are more than 50,000 initiated members with chapters all over the U.S. and Canada.
